Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has announced that Norse Atlantic Airways has launched a new nonstop route from Los Angeles to Athens, operating four times a week. The announcement was made on the social media platform X.

According to Routes Online, Norse Atlantic Airways has inaugurated its first-ever nonstop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Athens (ATH), marking a significant milestone in transatlantic air travel. The route is operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. This new connection enhances accessibility between Southern California and Greece, providing travelers with a direct link to explore the rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty of Athens and its surrounding regions.

As reported by One Mile at a Time, the LAX–ATH route will operate four times per week, specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flight N0512 departs Los Angeles at varying times, arriving in Athens the following day, while the return flight N0511 departs Athens in the morning, arriving in Los Angeles the same day. This schedule offers flexibility for travelers planning trips between the two cities.

According to Simple Flying, the new route spans approximately 6,928 miles (11,149 kilometers), making it the longest in Norse Atlantic's network. The flight duration is about 13 hours and 30 minutes, offering a direct and time-efficient option for passengers traveling between Los Angeles and Athens. This addition reflects Norse Atlantic's commitment to expanding its long-haul offerings.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), operated by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), is the primary international airport serving the Greater Los Angeles area. As per LAWA's official site, LAX is the fifth-busiest airport in the United States and the eleventh busiest in the world, handling over 76 million passengers in 2024.
