The Guardian reported that emergency services have transported injured individuals to nearby hospitals while rescue teams continue ground operations focused on identification, DNA testing, and recovery. UK consular support has been activated for the 53 British nationals, with specialised accident investigators from the UK also assisting the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) in the ongoing probe.

Air India, founded in 1932 and now India’s flag carrier under Tata Sons ownership, operates a global network of domestic and international flights. In response to the accident, the airline has set up a dedicated passenger hotline (1800-5691-444), urged media to avoid contacting the hotline directly, said it is cooperating fully with investigators, and will issue further updates via X and its official website.
