Aventure Aviation has announced a significant deal, acquiring 12 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft from Alaska Airlines. The planes will be dismantled at Aventure's Peachtree City facility to provide parts for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops globally.

Aventure is based in the Atlanta area, near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, one of the largest airports and MRO centers worldwide. This location allows Aventure to efficiently supply parts for the popular airliner model.

Alaska Airlines has been expanding its operations, including a major acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in 2024. Despite this growth, Alaska is transitioning its fleet from older models like the 737 NG to newer ones such as the 737 MAX series. As Talha Faruqi, President of Aventure Aviation stated: “This is a major milestone for Aventure…it’s by far the largest amount of aircraft we have purchased at one time."

The company recently acquired another Boeing 737 NG from Southwest Airlines. These purchases are part of Aventure's strategy to work with various stakeholders to repurpose idle airplanes into valuable parts sources.

As more airlines incorporate the newer 737 MAX series into their fleets, older models like the 737 NG become available for low-cost carriers and salvage companies. Aventure specializes in supplying these parts to keep global fleets operational.

Parts from Alaska's jets are particularly valuable due to their well-documented service history. "None of the aircraft being delivered to Aventure for teardown served with any other carrier," ensuring high traceability and reliability.
