Lufthansa Group has announced the appointment of Kevin Markette as Senior Director for Regional Sales in South Asia. Based in New Delhi, Markette will manage commercial activities across the region, including India.

Markette brings over 20 years of experience with Lufthansa Group, having worked in various regions including Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. His career began in South Africa in 2000 where he managed Pricing, Reservations, and Ticketing for Southern Africa. In 2008, he moved to Dubai to lead Marketing and Business Development for the Gulf States and later became Country Manager for Ghana.

From 2016 to 2020, Markette was Head of Sales for Southeast USA based in Atlanta. He then served as Head of Customer Relations for the Americas until 2022. Since then, he has been General Manager for East Africa based in Nairobi.

Outside work, Markette enjoys traveling with his wife Jolene.

The Lufthansa Group is a global aviation company with more than 100,000 employees from 164 nations. In 2024, it generated revenue of €37.6 billion. The group’s main business segment is Passenger Airlines alongside Logistics and Maintenance services.
