Emirates is set to enhance its service offerings by deploying more retrofitted Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s across existing routes to Shanghai and Zurich. The airline will also expand schedules to Milan, Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires while upgrading services to Shanghai and Singapore with A380 aircraft.

These changes come in response to rising demand across Emirates' network, allowing more passengers to experience the airline's onboard services, including the popular Premium Economy cabin. Since November 2022, Emirates has been retrofitting its aircraft at a steady pace of one plane every three weeks, completing upgrades on 60 planes so far.

Effective from October 26, Emirates will increase operations to Milan by adding a third daily flight using a Boeing 777-300ER. Additionally, flights between Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires will become daily. From July 20, services to Shanghai will be upgraded with an Airbus A380 for one of the daily flights, while the other will continue with a retrofitted Boeing 777.

In Singapore, starting this winter, a third daily flight from Dubai will utilize an A380. In Zurich, from February 1, 2026, Emirates will upgrade its second daily flight to an A380 and introduce Premium Economy on another route with a newly retrofitted A380.

Despite challenges in the operating environment, Emirates continues expanding operations for both summer and winter seasons. Passengers can enjoy updated features on retrofitted Boeing 777s and A380s across all cabin classes. The four-class Boeing 777 includes First Class suites, Business seats, Premium Economy seats, and Economy seats. On the four-class A380s, the Premium Economy cabin offers comfortable seating arrangements along with modern amenities like in-seat charging points.
