The last Boeing 737 MAX aircraft stored at Moses Lake has left the facility, ending a process that began six years ago. The jet was parked at a site next to Grant County International Airport, where many other 737 MAX planes were held after the global grounding of the model.

Boeing's move to put this final airframe into service marks an end to what has been described as a difficult period for both the company and its popular narrowbody jet series. The 737 MAX fleet was grounded worldwide following two fatal crashes in 2018 and 2019, leading to extensive investigations and changes in certification processes.

This event closes one chapter in Boeing's history with the MAX program. The departure of the last stored aircraft means all jets affected by the prolonged grounding have now either returned to service or joined airline fleets.

The return of these aircraft is seen as significant for both Boeing and airlines relying on the fuel-efficient model for their operations.
