Travelers from Ireland have several options for direct flights to major North American cities this summer, including Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, and Washington, DC. These routes offer access to a range of experiences in each destination.

Washington, DC offers visitors the chance to explore historical monuments and museums. The Smithsonian museums are free to enter, and outdoor activities such as kayaking on the Potomac River or strolling through Georgetown are available. Dining options include Ben’s Chili Bowl and Fiola Mare. The REACH at the Kennedy Center hosts free performances during the summer months.

Toronto combines urban life with nature. Visitors can enjoy Kensington Market's food scene or relax on the Toronto Islands. The Art Gallery of Ontario and Royal Ontario Museum provide cultural attractions for families.

New York City remains a popular choice with outdoor concerts, markets, and Central Park activities. Highlights include the High Line park and Chelsea Market. "Visit Governors Island, a peaceful retreat just a short ferry ride from Manhattan. Rent bikes, lounge in hammocks, and take in the stunning views of the city skyline—without the crowds."

Chicago’s lakefront is central to its summer appeal. Activities include walking along the Riverwalk or taking an architecture boat tour. Notable dining spots are Pequod’s for pizza and Girl & the Goat for modern cuisine. Millennium Park features outdoor movie nights.

Boston provides a mix of history and coastal experiences. The Freedom Trail showcases historical sites while seafood can be found at Neptune Oyster in the North End. The Seaport District has new restaurants and waterfront parks.

Los Angeles offers beach outings in Venice or Malibu as well as cultural stops like Griffith Observatory and The Getty Center.

Flights from Dublin or Shannon to U.S airports benefit from U.S Preclearance facilities at Irish airports, allowing travelers to complete immigration procedures before departure.

Aer Lingus encourages travelers to book their direct flights soon for these destinations.
