marhaba, a global airport hospitality brand and part of dnata, has expanded its service portfolio by integrating offerings from DUBZ, a baggage technology and logistics company. This integration enables marhaba to provide passengers departing from Dubai with the ability to check in and hand off their luggage remotely, fast-track through immigration, and access lounge facilities within a single booking.

The new services include Check-In Anywhere, which allows passengers to complete check-in procedures from their home, hotel, or office with certified agents issuing boarding passes and collecting luggage for secure delivery to the airport. Land and Leave lets arriving passengers bypass baggage claim, with their luggage delivered directly to their destination within hours. Additionally, Baggage Storage and Delivery offers travelers flexible storage options and same-day delivery across the UAE, catering to transit passengers and those with early checkouts.

Check-In Anywhere and Land and Leave can be booked through marhabaservices.com, while Baggage Storage and Delivery is available at designated points in Dubai. These additions complement marhaba’s existing Meet & Greet and lounge access services, positioning the company as one of the few providers offering a fully integrated hospitality journey beyond the airport terminal.

The expansion comes amid growing demand for efficient airport experiences. The International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) latest Global Passenger Survey found that 70% of travelers would prefer to check in their luggage in advance to avoid queues.

Since dnata acquired a majority stake in DUBZ in 2018, the company has experienced steady annual growth, particularly among families, business travelers, and premium passengers. In 2024, DUBZ served over 70,000 passengers through its off-airport services, representing a 15% increase compared to the previous year.

“We're seeing a fundamental shift in how people want to travel,” said Jaffar Dawood, Divisional Senior Vice President for UAE Airport Operations at dnata.

“Whether it’s a family trying to simplify their departure or a business traveller looking to save time, the demand for seamless airport experiences has never been higher. With this integration, we’re anticipating those needs and going beyond them. It’s about removing friction and giving people back time and peace of mind.”

The integration follows record passenger numbers at Dubai International Airport (DXB), which saw more than 92 million travelers in 2024. Airports globally are increasing investments in off-airport processing technologies to improve operations and passenger experiences.

marhaba has operated since 1991, serving millions of customers at international hubs including Dubai. By combining off-site check-in, meet & greet, fast-track clearance, and other services, marhaba aims to offer a comprehensive solution in the airport hospitality sector.
