Bilt Rewards introduces ‘Bilt Cash’ currency replacing milestone rewards in 2026

Bilt Rewards has announced it will introduce a new rewards currency, Bilt Cash, starting January 1, 2026. This change will replace the current milestone rewards program that was launched in 2024. Under the existing system, members received milestone rewards for every 25,000 points earned within a calendar year. However, feedback indicated that many members did not find these rewards appealing.

With the introduction of Bilt Cash, members will earn $50 in Bilt Cash each time they accumulate 25,000 Bilt Points. Bilt Cash can be redeemed at local merchants within the Bilt network at a fixed value — $10 of Bilt Cash equals $10 with participating merchants.

According to a press release from Bilt, members will be able to use Bilt Cash in several ways: "Cash off when you use mobile dining checkout; Hotels in Bilt's travel portal; Fitness classes; Home Delivery orders; One-time access to elite status benefits for Blue and Silver members, such as upgraded status for a Rent Day transfer bonus, early access to an experience or Home Away from Home access."

Bilt also stated that the new currency is "designed to grow alongside our expanding ecosystem of neighborhood merchants." The company expects more opportunities for earning and redeeming Bilt Cash after its launch.

The change does not affect the existing Bilt Points program or their value with transfer partners. Members will continue to earn points as before and can redeem them as usual. As noted by the company: "Bilt points — and the value you can get when redeeming them with the Bilt transfer partners — are here to stay. After all, Bilt Cash is a rewards currency you'll earn in addition to Bilt points."

For those who have unclaimed milestone rewards at the end of 2025, any claimed reward will remain active until expiration or until maximum points are earned for that reward. Unused milestone rewards will expire at year’s end.

In its statement about the upcoming change, Bilt said: "We're thrilled to launch Bilt Cash: it represents the next evolution of your membership, replacing Milestone Rewards with a more flexible reward currency that adapts to how you want to experience our ecosystem."

Although some have noted that the earning rate for Bilt Cash is relatively low (0.2 cents per point) and requires meeting certain thresholds before redemption is possible, this new option provides an additional way for users to save money while shopping with merchants affiliated with the platform.
