Kiri Hannifin Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer | Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand is set to resume its seasonal direct flights from Auckland to Hobart, starting at 9:00 am NZT on October 27. The airline will operate these services using A320neo and A321neo aircraft three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This marks the return of international flights to Tasmania.

Jeremy O'Brien, Air New Zealand's General Manager International, expressed enthusiasm about reconnecting Kiwi and Tasmanian customers during the summer months. "With more than 600 seats available to Tassie each week, there are plenty of options for a summer escape to Tasmania," he stated. He also highlighted the benefits of the airline's refreshed Seats to Suit options that offer greater choice and flexibility.

Tasmania offers various attractions for travelers. Art enthusiasts can visit MONA (the Museum of Old and New Art), while those interested in history might explore Battery Point with its 19th-century architecture. Golfers have access to numerous courses providing both scenic views and challenging play. Additionally, visitors can enjoy local produce at Salamanca Market every Saturday.
