Washington D.C.'s Dulles International Airport (IAD) will soon welcome a new nonstop route to Amman, Jordan. Royal Jordanian Airlines announced plans to commence flights from IAD to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) starting March 23, 2025. The service will operate twice weekly with departures on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Flights are scheduled to leave Amman at 11:45 a.m., arriving in Washington D.C. at 5:45 p.m. The return flight will depart IAD at 8:50 p.m., reaching Amman the following day at 3:25 p.m. A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, accommodating 270 passengers with 24 business-class and 246 economy seats, will serve the route.
With this launch, Royal Jordanian becomes the 46th airline operating out of IAD, which serves as a key international hub for travelers heading to the U.S. capital. This development marks an addition rather than a novelty for IAD, as United Airlines already operates this route.
