Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) has partnered with Egnatia Aviation to offer cadets the opportunity to earn an EASA licence, which is recognized globally in the aviation industry. This certification is essential for flying European-registered aircraft or working for European airlines.

Through this partnership, international cadets at EFTA can complete a 10-hour Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME/IR) program with Egnatia Aviation in Greece. Upon graduation, these cadets will hold both a GCAA and an EASA licence. Once EFTA secures EASA approval, it plans to incorporate the agency’s curriculum into its training programs.

Captain Abdulla Al Hammadi, Divisional Vice President of EFTA, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “EFTA’s next growth trajectory will have a major impact as we are set to provide a strong pipeline to an industry strapped for international pilot talent. The partnership with Egnatia Aviation marks a huge milestone in that growth journey."

George Triantafyllidis, Chief Commercial Officer of Egnatia Aviation, highlighted the benefits for aspiring pilots: “Cadets on the path to becoming EASA certified can look forward to beginning the course in 2025 and be ready to conduct their ME/IR in 2026 at Egnatia Aviation.”

EFTA was established by Emirates in Dubai South in 2017 and trains students using advanced technologies and a modern fleet of aircraft. Its facilities include classrooms, flight simulators, an Air Traffic Control Tower, and a dedicated runway.

Egnatia Aviation Group is known for providing pilot training across Europe and has been operational for 18 years with students from around the globe.
