Transatlantic time travel flights are set to make a return in 2025, providing a unique travel experience where passengers arrive at their destination before they have even left, thanks to the time zone differences. This concept was famously exemplified by Concorde flights such as BA001 from Heathrow to New York JFK and AF002 from Paris CDG, both of which are now discontinued.

In 2025, only a few transatlantic flights will offer this rare time-traveling feature. Using Cirium Diio data, it's reported that just six examples exist this year. When combined, these flights account for 387 departures throughout the year, making them an infrequent occurrence among transatlantic journeys.

One notable mention is Icelandair's flight from Keflavik to Seattle and Vancouver. Approximately one in five departures to Seattle will utilize this phenomenon, increasing to nearly a third for Vancouver.

The airlines and routes offering these services include:

- Condor's Frankfurt-Anchorage route operates three times weekly between May 17 and September 13 with an A330neo.

- Discover offers twice-weekly flights on the same route from June 4 to September 20 using an A330-300.

- Finnair flies Helsinki-Seattle five times weekly between May 3 and August 21 with an A330-300.

- Icelandair runs Keflavik-Kulusuk (Greenland) services with varying frequencies but mostly uses the Dash 8-200 aircraft.

- The Keflavik-Seattle route by Icelandair features winter-only time travel flights daily with plans for A321LR deployment.

- Similarly, Keflavik-Vancouver sees winter-only four weekly services using the Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Despite its rarity, the concept continues to intrigue travelers seeking novel experiences across long-haul distances.

Icelandair has operated flights to Portland since 2015. However, unlike other routes such as Vancouver and Seattle that involve time travel due to shorter block times, Portland doesn't usually offer this experience. Nonetheless, there were two occasions in January when passengers departed and arrived at exactly the same local time due to scheduling.
