FedEx introduces 'Picture Proof of Delivery' service in China

Shanghai, China, March 4, 2025—FedEx, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, announced the launch of its new ''Picture Proof of Delivery'' service in mainland China for international inbound residential shipments that do not require a signature. This initiative is part of FedEx's commitment to digital transformation and optimizing customer experience while supporting the development of cross-border e-commerce.

For eligible shipments under this service, once authorized by the recipient, the courier can deliver the package to the doorstep and take a photo showing its exact location. Recipients do not need to register, create an account or log in; nor is there any additional fee. The photo can be viewed via FedEx's website tracking tools, custom reports, and official WeChat account to confirm successful delivery.

In 2024, China's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 2.63 trillion yuan, a growth of 10.8% 1. The number of participants in cross- border e-commerce imports has also been increasing annually. For consumers who cannot personally receive their packages at home, this no-signature required delivery service ensures seamless package receipt. Additionally, it provides a reassuring logistics experience for both e-commerce sellers and consumers with just one picture.
