Alaska Airlines is expanding its global reach with the addition of a new partner, Philippine Airlines, marking its 32nd partnership. The collaboration positions Alaska Airlines as Philippine Airlines' first loyalty partner in North America. This development will allow guests to book nonstop flights on Philippine Airlines from Honolulu and Alaska's West Coast hubs to Manila. Travelers will also be able to earn and redeem Mileage Plan miles during their journeys.

Philippine Airlines offers various routes, including five nonstop flights weekly from Honolulu, three from Seattle, two daily from Los Angeles, and one daily from San Francisco to Manila. From there, travelers can connect to multiple other destinations across Asia and elsewhere.

Brett Catlin, Vice President of Loyalty, Alliances, and Sales at Alaska Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership. He noted the timing aligns with the start of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. "The large Filipino communities living in Hawai‘i, California, and Washington state can travel on Philippine Airlines' long-haul, widebody aircraft and soon earn valuable Mileage Plan miles on their transpacific journeys."

This partnership also leverages existing relationships between Hawaiian Airlines and Philippine Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines’ frequent flyers will soon be able to earn and redeem miles through Philippine Airlines, enhancing the benefits for both Hawaiian and Mileage Plan members.

Alvin M. Miranda, Philippine Airlines’ Vice President for Marketing, highlighted the perks for Mabuhay Miles members. "We are proud to partner with Alaska Airlines to deliver even greater value to our Mabuhay Miles members. This strategic collaboration significantly expands our network and flight options, enabling our members to enjoy enhanced connectivity and flexibility in how and where they use their miles."

With this partnership, guests booking partner flights will earn more miles more quickly, receiving 100% of the miles for the flight distance. Premium cabin travelers will benefit from increased miles, earning 250% of the distance flown.
