Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), recognized as the largest express transportation company globally, is facilitating Mumbai's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in scaling their innovative ideas to reach international markets. This initiative is part of the SME Connect series, which offers tailored logistics, digital tools, and strategic insights to emerging business hubs.

"As SMEs accelerate their ambitions, we’re matching that pace with smarter solutions, stronger infrastructure, and deeper engagement," stated Nitin Navneet Tatiwala, vice president of marketing, customer experience, and air network for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa at FedEx. "Through our SME Connect platform, we’re delivering more than packages—we’re enabling aspirations for SMEs to compete on the global stage."

Since its launch in 2019, SME Connect has transitioned from a knowledge-sharing forum into an advocacy platform. In FY25, FedEx introduced new formats—SAMPARK, ANUBHAV, and MANTRA—to engage businesses more personally according to their lifecycle and sectoral challenges. These efforts align with national programs like Invest India and initiatives such as One District One Product (ODOP) and District Export Hub (DEH), promoting regional export hubs in cities like Mumbai. To date, SME Connect has engaged over 5,000 SME customers through 58 editions across 55 cities in India.

FedEx enhances connectivity for Mumbai entrepreneurs by providing a robust network with 23 weekly flights in and out of India.

FedEx International Priority ensures critical shipments reach key markets within two to three business days. Meanwhile, FedEx International Connect Plus offers affordable international e-commerce shipping across 14 AMEA markets with delivery times ranging from one to three days.

In addition to logistics services, FedEx invests in digital intelligence to assist SMEs in simplifying operations and improving shipment visibility.

The FedEx Import Tool streamlines imports through real-time tracking and digital documentation. FedEx Delivery Manager International allows customers flexibility in managing delivery preferences. The FedEx Ship Manager automates label generation while speeding up customs clearance through electronic submissions. Lastly, the FedEx One-Stop Shop integrates services into a single platform for simplified logistics management.

FedEx continues its commitment to empowering India's SMEs by combining global capabilities with local insights. Its recent digital brand film featuring Chennai Super Kings celebrates bold business dreams and supports entrepreneurs in turning ideas into global success stories.
