Porter Airlines, the third-largest airline in Canada since its inception in 2006, operates over 30 destinations across Canada and the United States. The airline's primary hubs are Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), and Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW).

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, Porter Airlines runs eight transborder routes more than once daily. The carrier's fleet consists of 73 aircraft: 29 De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s and 44 Embraer E195-E2s, with an additional 31 on order.

The busiest route for Porter Airlines is between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), with 189 flights each way scheduled for May 2025. This averages six flights per day using De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft.

Porter also competes on several major routes such as YYZ to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) against airlines like Air Canada, Flair Airlines, and WestJet.

Deborah Flint serves as CEO of Porter Airlines. The company continues to expand its presence in the US market by operating regional aircraft between major cities on both sides of the border.
