American Express has announced the opening of its new Centurion Lounge at Tokyo's Haneda Airport. The 7,500-square-foot facility is located in Terminal 3 near Gate 114 and features a Japanese-inspired design with a variety of local food and beverage options.

The lounge will offer a dining experience designed by chef Satoshi Ogino, known for his Michelin-starred restaurants. Travelers can expect to find Japanese favorites such as sushi and ramen, along with a buffet that includes both local and Western cuisine. The bar will serve wines, cocktails, Japanese beers, sake, and shochu.

A unique feature of the lounge is a dedicated sweets bar offering teas and traditional Japanese wagashi sweets. The space also incorporates elements of Japanese culture in its design, including deep indigo hues called "Japan Blue," symbolizing tranquility and stability.

Local artists have contributed signature pieces to the lounge's decor, including a textile reimagining of the Amex bulldog by Saki Matsumoto. Amenities include private phone rooms that double as meditation pods, various seating options like armchairs and high-top tables, and a private room for families or small groups equipped with a TV.

Centurion Card holders from American Express have access to an exclusive VIP room within the lounge featuring its own beverage station and fast-track access. This marks Amex's 30th Centurion Lounge globally and the fourth in Asia after New Delhi, Hong Kong, and Mumbai.
